Toghers is Different

Toghers® is Different

We get it.

Everyone on the leadership team understands how tough the role of a caregiver is. Some of us have been or are still family caregivers ourselves, some of us have dedicated our careers to helping family caregivers, and all of us want you to know that you are not alone.

A different perspective

  • Toghers sees the value of having both expert and peer support to guide caregivers in their role.
  • Toghers sees the value in promoting healthy caregivers
  • Toghers considers health to include body, mind, spirit, and emotion

Is Toghers a non-profit company?

Unlike many other human service entities, we are not a non-profit company. Toghers was started by a group of social entrepreneurs as a “for-more-than-profit” company. This type of company cares in more than just their financial bottom line—they care deeply about the impact they have on the world around them and the global community. Many modern social enterprises, charities, volunteer organizations, and co-operatives are choosing this business model in an effort to remain profitable, and enable them to continually improve and expand the services and products they provide to their society.

Today’s environment has changed for non-profit companies. With the increasing size and diversity of communities, a larger number of non-profits are competing for the available government and philanthropic funds. As a result, non-profits must spend more time and energy satisfying the needs of funders and donors for accountability, and in searching out those dwindling resources. A for-profit company, on the other hand, can focus its time and energy on the customer rather than on grant writing and fund-raising.

In order to do good things for others, you must do well. By adopting this sustainable business model, Toghers is in a position to help family caregivers by providing cost-effective products and services.
